PingMyStock

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

PingMyStock (“PingMyStock”, “we”, “us”) provides a back-in-stock notification app for Shopify stores. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and how it is protected.

Who this covers

Information we collect

When a shopper requests a back-in-stock alert, we collect their email address and the product and variant they are waiting on.

From the merchant’s Shopify store, we access product and inventory information (so we know when an item is back) and the basic store details needed to run the app. We request only the permissions the app needs (read access to products).

We do not collect payment details, and we do not track shoppers across other websites.

How we use it

We use this information for one purpose: to send the back-in-stock email the shopper asked for, on behalf of the merchant’s store. Merchants can see a log of which emails were sent.

How it is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services that make the app work:

These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information for as long as it is needed to send the alert. When a merchant uninstalls PingMyStock, we delete that store’s data. We also honour Shopify’s data-deletion requests: if a shopper or store asks for their data to be removed, we delete it.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, stored on access-controlled infrastructure, and sending credentials are kept secret. Only the systems that run the app can access the data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
